Italy SuperStar

Without a doubt one of the best and most well-respected lottery series on the planet is the world-famous SuperEnalotto. It has been around in one form or another for over 5 decades and the prize money is some of the biggest in the world.

Italy Super Star History

Italy’s world famous Enalotto lottery game started in the 1950’s and in 1996 it was taken over by Italian lotteries authority SISAL. SISAL worked for a log time to re-brand and make the lottery more attractive and worthwhile for the millions f players and in 1997 the current SuperEnalotto Super Star format was released.  Rodolfo Molo is to thank for this current version and being the son of a founding father of SISAL he knows his business well.  The first draw was held on December 3rd 1997 and was instantly a classic.

Many of the proceeds from the Super Star go towards funding various charitable organizations throughout Italy.

The record for largest jackpot in all of Europe is by the SuperEnalotto which took place in 2010 where €177,800,000 was won by a single ticket.

How it Works

The Super Star works just the same as the Super Enalotto with the addition of the Super Star additional number.  Players need to fill in two blocks with six picks from a one to ninety number range.  The Super Star number is selected from a separate drum during the draw.   Matching the Super Star adds unbelievable cash prizes to the five prize categories and adds an additional three prize categories on its own.  There are a total thirteen ways to win.  From the same drum as the five numbers first selected, a sixth Jolly Number is chosen and if players match combinations with the Jolly Number it’s time for secondary prizes.
How to Win

Since there is no cap on the rollover amounts, players from all over the world flock to their computers and mobile devices to purchase tickets online.  Match all of the numbers plus the Super Star and you’ll win the jackpot. Match various combinations of numbers with the Super Star and you’ll be eligible for secondary prizes.

The numbers that have come up more than any others have been  1, 49, 55, 63, 77, 82, 85, 86, 88, and 90.

The numbers that have not been called since the Super Star began its operations have been:  6, 10,20, 31, 42, 49,  50, 51, 70, and 86.

You pick your own or have them randomly selected, either way the Super Star should be a new tradition for you.
